In partnership with the Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec Building Trades Council, OCBN is pleased to announce a new workforce development program launching in August 2024. The program aims to provide opportunities for tenants of affordable housing and other community groups to obtain industry recognized certifications that will support the early stages of construction sector skilled trades readiness.
Minimum grade 10; grade 12 required for most trades
Applicants from Black, Indigenous, and equity-deserving communities are strongly encouraged to apply

The OCBN is grateful for the funding support from the City of Ottawa’s Community Economic Development fund and for Lafarge Canada‘s sponsorship that will provide hardhats and safety glasses for this initiative.
